PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Halco is supporting the complete addition of a new paper mill line at the Atlantic Packaging location in Whitby, ON. Halco is executing the complete Millwrighting and Rigging scope that includes the logistics, receiving and inventory of all necessary equipment including:

• blowers
• heat exchangers
• press components
• hydraulics
• motors etc.

They are responsible for the installation and rigging of equipment, layout, drilling and alignment of roll installation, pulper unit construction, welding (MIG, stick and TIG) & fabrication of chutes.

Halco is using its own, state-of-the-art Faro Vantage Laser technology during this project for the 3D rendering and layout of the entire project and system scope. The Faro laser tracker enables Halco to create the most precise alignment of all components, including rolls and vacuum cans, alignment of drilling, and machine foundations. The rendering outputs provided Halco and the client with detailed project layouts and the ability to troubleshoot potential project risks and roadblocks.
